Are you a highly effective and results-oriented Science Teacher with a deep understanding of advanced scientific concepts and a demonstrable track record of securing excellent progress at A-Level? Our reputable independent college in the academically vibrant city of Cambridge is seeking a dedicated specialist to inspire and guide our students to unparalleled success in their Science studies from Key Stage 4 to A-Level, commencing in September 2025. In this crucial full-time role, with a significant focus on Key Stage 5 (A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics), you will:
* Maximise Student Achievement: Be instrumental in ensuring excellent student outcomes in GCSE and particularly A-Level Sciences, equipping them with the sophisticated analytical, mathematical, and practical skills required for top university placements.
* Lead Advanced Practical Work: Design and oversee challenging practical investigations, ensuring students develop advanced laboratory skills and meet the demands of A-Level practical endorsements.
* Deliver Engaging and Rigorous Curriculum: Utilise your expertise to deliver well-structured and challenging lessons that align with the demands of the A-Level Science curricula, fostering deep understanding of complex theories and contemporary scientific applications.
* Motivate and Support High Achievers: Work with a diverse group of highly academic students, including many international students aiming for prestigious universities, providing the necessary extension and support to enable them to excel in all aspects of the subject.
* Collaborate within a Strong Science Department: Join a supportive and experienced team that shares best practices and works collaboratively to achieve departmental goals, including the successful delivery of a high-quality A-Level Science programme that challenges and excites students.
* Champion STEM Pathways: Inspire students to pursue further studies and careers in STEM fields, leveraging Cambridge's world-leading scientific environment.
