Job Description
Simply Education is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Science Technician to join our successful Science Department in a school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of exciting and engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3-5. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science and a keen eye for detail to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical support across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Prepare and set up practical experiments and demonstrations
Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, stock, and resources
Ensure health and safety standards are always upheld
Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe practical lessonsRequirements
Has previous experience working in a school science lab or a lab environment similar environment
Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
Has a good understanding of health and safety in a laboratory setting.
Is confident working independently and as part of a teamAll candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. Any interviews we hold will be conducted over a Teams call.
