About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a dynamic Science Department from September 2025. You will provide essential support for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons, ensuring the smooth preparation and safe delivery of practical experiments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons
Support teaching staff during practical sessions
Maintain stock levels and ensure safe storage and disposal of chemicals
Assist with the development of science lesson resources
Uphold health and safety standards in all lab activities
Ensure the science labs are clean, well-organized, and fully equipped
Candidate Requirements
Prior experience working as a Science Technician in a UK secondary school
Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and Health & Safety regulations
Confidence in handling chemicals and preparing experiments across all three sciences
Relevant qualifications or experience in a science-related field
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one before starting
