Full-Time Science Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–15:30 (to be confirmed)
Are you passionate about science and keen to play a vital role in the day-to-day running of a dynamic science department? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Science Technician to join the team from September 2025 for the full academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school environment, where you’ll help bring science to life for students through hands-on support in practical lessons and behind-the-scenes preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, set up, and tidy away equipment and materials for science practical’s.
Support teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations.
Ensure equipment and chemicals are stored safely and correctly.
Maintain and service laboratory equipment.
Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and support departmental budgeting.
Promote a safe, clean, and functional lab environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
About You:
A keen interest in science, with a minimum of GCSE Science (a higher qualification is desirable).
Reliable and committed, with full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026.
Organised, resourceful, and able to take initiative.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: ranging between £80-£100 daily rate (term time only).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
