Job Title: Supply Science Technician - Sheffield Area
Location: Various Secondary Schools across Sheffield
Salary: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Flexible Supply (Full-time and Part-time opportunities available)
Start Date: Ongoing - Immediate Opportunities Available
Are you a passionate Science Technician looking for flexible work?
At Tradewind, we're working with a range of secondary schools and academies across the Sheffield area who are in need of experienced and enthusiastic Science Technicians to support their science departments on a supply basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking variety in their work, looking to gain experience in different school environments, or balancing other commitments with a flexible role.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and setting up practical equipment for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Maintaining and organising lab equipment and chemicals in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons
Ensuring labs are clean, safe, and fully stocked
Assisting with the development and implementation of practical activities
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or laboratory setting (desirable)
Sound knowledge of health & safety procedures in a lab environment
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through us
A qualification in a science-related subject is desirable but not essential
