We are seeking a Supply Science Technician to join our dedicated Science Department at a well-regarded secondary school in Preston, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and setting up practical experiments and resources for KS3 and KS4 science lessons.
Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
Supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe practical lessons.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and school policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience as a science technician (school-based experience preferred but not essential).
A good understanding of laboratory safety and the handling of scientific equipment and materials.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a busy science department.
