Are you an organised and practical individual with a background in science?
This dynamic secondary school in Hackney is looking for a Science Technician to join their high-achieving Science department and play a key role in preparing resources and supporting engaging practical lessons.
About the role:
Preparing equipment and chemicals for experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Maintaining safe and organised prep rooms and laboratories
Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations during lessons
Ensuring COSHH and health & safety guidelines are followed at all times
Managing stock levels, placing orders, and handling deliveriesAbout you:
Previous experience in a science lab or as a technician (education or industry)
Strong understanding of lab safety, especially around chemicals and equipment
Well-organised, punctual and a great team player
Confident using ICT to support stocktaking and lesson preparation
