Software Automation QA Engineer
On-site in Loughton IG10
We are looking for a skilled Software Automation QA Engineer to join a well-established financial services technology team. This is a fully automation focused role, as the company already has dedicated manual testers handling all functional and regression work. You will be hands-on with modern tooling and play a key part in improving software quality across web and API layers.
What you will be doing
• Enhancing and maintaining an existing Selenium automation framework built in C# and SpecFlow (Reqnroll)
• Creating new automated tests and improving overall reliability and coverage
• Debugging failing tests and supporting stable, repeatable test execution
• Testing web applications across multiple browsers and platforms
• Supporting basic API checks and debugging using tools such as Postman
• Working closely with developers, product teams and QA colleagues in an Agile environment
• Helping improve test quality, release confidence and overall engineering standards
What we are looking for
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and C#
• Practical experience using SpecFlow or Reqnroll in a BDD setup
• Solid understanding of Page Object Model and good automation design principles
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across UI and API layers
• A detail focused mindset with a proactive and structured working style
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
Nice to have
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
• Exposure to CI CD pipelines and modern QA engineering practices
