Experienced Seamstress / Curtain Maker – Maidenhead
£15 per hour | Paid weekly (PAYE) | Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm | Ongoing temporary work
Are you an Experienced Seamstress or Curtain Maker looking for an exciting opportunity within a creative studio environment? Our client, a leading film production studio in Maidenhead, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis.
About the Role
As an Experienced Seamstress / Curtain Maker, you’ll play a key part in producing high-quality fabric items for use across film and television projects. This hands-on role involves:

Creating and sewing blue and green screens, curtains, and other bespoke fabric-based setups.
*
Assisting with stock replenishment and maintaining work areas.
*
Handling heavy raw materials (some manual handling required).
*
Working closely with the studio team to ensure all items meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
*
Proven experience as a Seamstress, Curtain Maker, Textile Fabricator, or Soft Furnishings Machinist.
*
Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and fabric types.
*
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
*
Physically capable of lifting and moving materials as part of day-to-day duties.
*
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Preferred Skills and Experience
*
Experience working in film, theatre, or events production environments.
*
Knowledge of specialist fabrics or large-scale textile projects.
*
A flexible approach to creative problem-solving.
