Seamstress / Curtain Maker – Film Studio – Longcross – £15 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Are you an experienced Seamstress or Curtain Maker looking to bring your craft to the big screen? Our client, a leading Film Studio based in Longcross, is seeking a skilled Seamstress / Curtain Maker to join their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a creative environment where your work directly contributes to the visual magic of film and stage productions.
About the Role
As a Seamstress / Curtain Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and altering a range of soft furnishings used across film sets, including curtains, drapes, and other fabric-based props. Working closely with the design and set departments, you’ll ensure all textiles are finished to the highest standard and meet production requirements and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Cutting, sewing, and assembling curtains and soft furnishings to specification.

Liaising with designers and production staff to interpret creative briefs.
*
Ensuring all materials are produced to a professional, film-quality finish.
*
Performing alterations and repairs as needed.
*
Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Skills and Experience
*
Proven experience as a Seamstress, Curtain Maker, or Textile Fabricator.
*
Background in film, television, or stage production preferred.
*
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
*
Ability to work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
