A vibrant and progressive secondary school on the Somerset coast is seeking an inspirational and driven Second in Art to support the leadership of a flourishing Art & Design Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Art teacher with creative flair and leadership ambition.

Art Department
The Art Department offers a diverse and exciting curriculum across KS3–KS5, including Fine Art, Textiles, and Photography. Students regularly exhibit their work both locally and nationally, and staff are encouraged to innovate and collaborate across subjects.
Your Role
You will support the Head of Department in maintaining high standards of teaching, assessment, and curriculum planning. You’ll lead on a particular area such as KS4 or Art & Photography, contribute to extracurricular opportunities (including exhibitions and community art projects), and help nurture creativity in every learner.
Ideal Candidate

A degree in Art, Fine Art, Textiles, or a related discipline
*
QTS and successful experience teaching Art at KS3–KS5
*
A strong creative portfolio and excellent curriculum knowledge
*
Leadership potential and a passion for visual arts education
*
Experience supporting cross-curricular or arts-focused events
