General Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools - Coventry - Full-Time - Term-Time Only - From £110 per day PAYE
Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? Long Term Futures is looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to gain classroom experience across a broad range of subjects, year groups, and settings.
Whether you're an aspiring teacher, experienced support staff, or someone with a background in youth work or coaching, this role offers valuable exposure to school life and the chance to make a real difference.
The Role:
Position: General Cover Supervisor
Location: Various secondary schools across Coventry
Start Date: September or sooner
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Pay: From £110 per day
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with pre-prepared work
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Delivering a wide range of subject content (no planning required)
Promoting a calm and focused learning environment
Offering support and encouragement to pupils across different ability levels
Communicating effectively with teaching and support staff regarding student progress or concerns
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people (e.g. in education, youth work, coaching, mentoring)
Strong communication, leadership and classroom management skills
Confidence in leading a group and maintaining a positive atmosphere
Patience, resilience and a flexible approach to working across different schools and subjects
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
