Key Responsibilities
Supervise students in the classroom during teacher absences.
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Respond to any questions from students regarding the provided material.
Collect and return completed work to the appropriate teacher.
Report any issues, incidents, or concerns to the relevant school staff.
Support students with learning where appropriate.
Person Specification
Essential:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, tutoring, coaching).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Flexible, reliable, and confident in a school environment.
Desirable:
A degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience working in a school or educational setting.
Interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection
