Location: Birmingham
Salary: £150 – £250 per day (dependent on experience and role responsibilities)

First for Education is seeking experienced and early career English Teachers to fill long-term, full-time roles in high-quality secondary schools across the West Midlands. We’re looking for individuals with strong subject knowledge in both English Language and Literature, who can make a real difference in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available)
*
Cover both Language and Literature components of the curriculum
*
Foster a classroom environment that promotes creativity, analysis, and discussion
*
Support students of all abilities to reach their academic potential
*
Contribute to department planning, assessment, and enrichment activities

Who We’re Looking For:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching English Language and Literature at secondary level

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
*
A creative, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*
Two recent, relevant references
