A highly regarded secondary school in Northampton is seeking a dedicated English specialist to join their vibrant and supportive English department from September 2025.

About the Role:
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5
Deliver dynamic, well-planned lessons that engage and challenge students
Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and assessments
Participate in extra-curricular and enrichment activities that promote literacy
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in English or a related subject
Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
Excellent subject knowledge and passion for English education
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to inclusive teaching and student wellbeing
You Will Need:
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum for English
Experience delivering and assessing student work
A flexible, professional, and positive attitude
Completion of a Safeguarding course (or willingness to complete one prior to start)
