About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum and exam specifications
Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives
Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Strong subject knowledge in Maths
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Confidence teaching students aged 11–16
Ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one), ideally on the DBS Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
