Physics Teacher - Maternity Cover (Part-Time, 3 Days per Week)
Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join our dedicated Science Department at a leading independent school in Poole. This part time role is to cover a maternity leave and will involve teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level Physics.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a forward-thinking and supportive environment with motivated students and excellent resources.
Contract/Position Details:
Location: Poole
Position: Physics Teacher
Start date: After October half term
Contract: Temporary
Full time/part time: 3 days a week (the days to be confirmed)
Hours: 07:30am - 16:00pm (including meetings and parents evenings)
Minimum rate of pay: Paid to scaleExperience, Training and Qualifications:
Science or similar graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent is essential
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
DBS (on the update service)What you will be doing:
Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across KS3 - KS5
Plan, prepare, and assess pupil's work in accordance with school policies
Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum
Participate in departmental meetings and school events What we offer:
