A secondary school in South Birmingham B30 is seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join their team. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Your new role
Premises Maintenance
Ensure the school's premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
Carry out daily checks on the premises, identifying and reporting any issues or defects.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, repairs, and minor adjustments.
Health and Safety
Assist with ensuring the school's compliance with health and safety regulations.
Identify and report potential hazards and take steps to mitigate risks.
Participate in health and safety training and drills.
Security
Monitor the school's premises, ensuring the security of students, staff, and visitors.
Respond to security breaches or incidents, following school procedures.
Control access to the school, including managing keys and access cards.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and carrying.
