KS4 Teacher – Specialist SEN Provision (Chorley)
A specialist SEN school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated KS4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis (08:30 - 16:30 term time only). The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment for pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an FE lecturer looking to transition into secondary education and gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The role will involve delivering a tailored curriculum designed to support students’ academic progress, personal development, and emotional wellbeing.
Role highlights:
Full-time position within a supportive SEN setting
Teaching small groups of KS4 pupils with SEMH needs
Opportunity to contribute to a creative and flexible curriculum
Maths specialism preferred, though applications from other subject backgrounds will be considered

Requirements:
Experience teaching or supporting young people with additional needs (SEMH, autism, or similar)
Ability to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs
A passion for helping young people re-engage with education and achieve their potential
QTS desirable, but applications welcomed from FE teachers or unqualified teachers working towards it

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
