Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Key Stages: KS3 & KS4 (11–16 years); possibility of KS5 involvement
Salary: MPR / UPR (e.g. £31,650–£43,600 for MPS; £45,600–£49,000 for UPS, depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, creative, and student‑centered Humanities Teacher—specialising in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies—to inspire learners across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and optionally KS5). You’ll deliver dynamic lessons, foster critical thinking and respectful debate, and help all students reach their best outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging humanities lessons in line with national curriculum and exam syllabi.
Use data and assessment feedback to track student progress and inform teaching.
Create an inclusive classroom where all learners feel supported and challenged.
Apply effective behaviour management strategies aligned to the school’s ethos.
Work with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
Participate in wider school life—parents’ evenings, clubs, trips, and CPD.
Who We’re Looking For
Required:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome)
Degree in a relevant subject (History, Geography, Religious Studies or closely related)
Recent experience teaching Humanities to 11–16‑year‑olds in the last two years
Confident classroom manager with a track record of positive student outcomes
Desirable:
Experience teaching KS5 (if relevant)
An interest in extracurricular extension (e.g. humanities clubs, trips)
