Join our team at Academics, where we have a rewarding position open for a dedicated Teaching Assistant. We're looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN at a secondary school in Stevenage. Your role will focus on empowering students to achieve their best by providing personalized support in both one-on-one and small group settings. Role Overview: Support students with a variety of special educational needs, including learning challenges, to aid in both their academic and personal development. Offer tailored one-on-one assistance as well as small group interventions for KS3 and KS4 students. Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students in the classroom. Adjust learning resources and instructional techniques to suit individual student requirements, fostering confidence and independence.Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school environment. Experience working with students with SEN and learning difficulties. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply for one). Confidence in a classroom setting across KS3 and KS4 levels.
