Secondary Teaching Assistant
Smile Education is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Telford to recruit a Secondary Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values community, learning, and professional development.
Responsibilities of the Secondary Teaching Assistant role:
Support students in lessons across a variety of subjects
Work one-to-one or with small groups to help raise attainment
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
Provide additional support for students with SEND or EAL needs
Promote positive behaviour and a focused learning environmentThis Secondary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
To apply for this Secondary Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
OR a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship or equivalent
Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable
A patient, flexible, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skillsBenefits of this Secondary TA Role:
Daily rate of £ 90-120
PAYE and Umbrella payment options
Holiday pay of 12.07%
Referral scheme up to £200
