Cover Supervisors Needed – Secondary Schools | Liverpool

Location: Liverpool
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Flexible / Daily Supply / Long-Term

Engage Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Liverpool from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, graduates and education professionals looking for flexible work within secondary schools.

The Role

  * Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

  * Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.

  * Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

  * Support students with their learning where appropriate.

  * Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies.

  * Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

  * Provide feedback to teachers regarding the lesson and pupil engagement.

We're Looking For

  * Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.

  * Confident and effective classroom management skills.

  * A calm, patient and consistent approach.

  * Reliable, adaptable and professional.

  * Excellent communication skills.

  * The ability to confidently manage a classroom and follow school procedures.

  * A genuine passion for supporting young people in education.
