Job Description

We are working with a highly regarded and rapidly growing civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Senior Site Engineer for their expanding team in Glasgow. Known for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects across Scotland, our client has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, collaboration, and delivering projects safely and efficiently.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, playing a key role in the successful delivery of complex civil engineering and construction projects while supporting and mentoring junior engineers on site.

As the Senior Site Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Managing and overseeing day-to-day engineering activities on site
* Setting out, surveying, and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and drawings
* Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitoring quality control and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
* Reviewing technical drawings and resolving engineering challenges on site
* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and site staff

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

* Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction projects
* Strong setting out and surveying experience using modern equipment and software
* A solid understanding of construction methodologies and site processes
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
