Job Title: Security/CCTV/Access Control Engineer
Location: Manchester and surrounding areas

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Security/CCTV/Access Control Engineer to join our growing team in the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electronic security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, service, and maintain CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and door entry systems across commercial and residential sites.
* Diagnose and repair system faults with efficiency and accuracy.
* Commission new systems and provide handovers and training to end-users.
* Conduct site surveys and assist with system design where necessary.
* Liaise with clients and provide a high standard of customer service.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* Participate in the on-call rota for emergency callouts and out-of-hours support.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electronic security industry.
* Proven knowledge of CCTV (IP and analog), access control systems, and intruder alarms.
* Experience working with manufacturers such as Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, or similar.
* Full UK driving license (clean preferred).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* ECS/CSCS card or equivalent certification desirable.

🔧 Technical Skills
* Installation & Configuration of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems
* IP Networking knowledge (e.g., configuring IP cameras, routers, and switches)
* System Integration (linking CCTV with access control or alarm systems)
* Fault Finding & Diagnostics for both hardware and software issues
* Familiarity with Key Brands like Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Honeywell, Bosch
📚 Compliance & Continuous Learning
* Understanding of NSI standards, BS EN 50132, or BS 7671
* Awareness of data protection and privacy laws related to surveillance
* Willingness to stay updated with evolving tech and regulationsBefore You Apply
