Job Description
We are seeking experienced and professional Dog Handlers to join our team providing high-quality security support at a secure site in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Conduct proactive and reactive patrols across the site with your dog
*
Maintain a visible yet professional security presence
*
Report and escalate any security incidents or suspicious activity
*
Complete daily security logs and communication reports
*
Ensure your dog remains well-controlled, alert, and in good working condition throughout the shift
*
Adhere to site safety and operational procedures at all times
Requirements:
*
Dog Insurance Certificate
*
Public Liability Cover
*
SIA Licence (preferred, not mandatory if relevant experience)
*
Professional Working Dog – German Shepherd preferred
*
Reliable vehicle with fitted dog cage (role requires transporting your dog to patrol different areas, so walking the dog to site is not suitable)
*
Vehicle signage, such as Dog Unit / K9 Security preferred, can be discussed if support is required
*
Previous experience working as a Dog Handler or Security Dog Unit (ideal)
*
Ability to work independently with high professional standards
*
Strong communication and incident-reporting ability
