Job Description
Security Manager – Construction Site (Days)
* Location: Canary Wharf, London
* Pay Rate: £20.50 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
* Shifts: 12-hour (6.30AM to 6.30PM)
* Duration: Long-term (2 years +)
Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Security Manager for a high-profile construction site based in Canary Wharf. This is a long-term opportunity for a professional with proven experience managing site security on busy construction projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the site, staff, and assets during Day-time operations.
Key Duties:
* Oversee and manage all security operations
* Conduct regular site patrols and inspections to maintain a secure environment
* Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems where applicable
* Ensure only authorised personnel gain access to the site
* Enforce site rules and health & safety protocols
* Report and record any incidents, breaches, or suspicious activity
* Liaise with site management, contractors, and emergency services if required
* Lead and coordinate the activities of on-site security personnel
* Maintain detailed shift reports and handover notes
Requirements:
* Valid SIA License (Essential)
* Previous experience as a Security Manager on a construction site (Essential)
* CSCS Card (Preferred)
* SSSTS Certification (Preferred)
If you do not currently hold a CSCS card or SSSTS, we will still consider your application and may arrange an interview to explore options.
Additional Information:
* This is a day shift role working 12-hour shifts
* Pay is processed via PAYE Umbrella at £20.50/hour
* Immediate start available for the right candidate
