Prospero Teaching are urgently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Staffordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils aged 7 to 13 years, many of whom require additional emotional and behavioural support to thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, particularly SEMH needs
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, inclusive learning
Help implement behaviour management strategies and support emotional regulation
Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage self-esteem and resilience
Support with daily routines, classwork, and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working in a SEND or SEMH setting is highly desirable
Calm, patient, and adaptable with a good sense of humour
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and rapport
A positive role model who is committed to safeguarding and inclusion
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or equivalent, Health and Social Care) are advantageous
