Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) English Teacher- Newcastle under Lyme
Are you a qualified English teacher with an empathetic approach, and a passion for supporting children with mental health and behavioural needs? Are you ready to take the next step in your career, in to an exciting and passionate PRU? If so, Academics have the perfect English teaching role for you!
About You:
QTS required with Secondary English specialism
Affinity for children with SEMH and EBD needs
Ability to plan, teach, and assess English GCSE
Committed to raising the aspirations of children with SEN needs in a Pupil Referral Unit
An effective communicator, with children, parents, and colleagues
A team player, able to work collaboratively
Pastoral capabilities, including contributing to EHCPs
Adaptable and proactive; you must be able to react to the events the day could throw at you!
Professional at all timesAbout The Job:
A half term role
Working in a small, bespoke, and close-knit SEN school
Supporting high aspirations and achievement for SEMH pupils
Delivering the English GCSE curriculum, and taking on teaching responsibilities for some other arts and humanities subjectsAbout Us:
