Job Description
Are you a Level 4 Qualified HLTA or Education Graduate? Are you interested in supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability? Can you help provide support and guidance to vulnerable young people?
If you have a passion for supporting young learners to overcome challenges and barrers to learning then we want to speak to you!
Academic Appointments are supporting an Alternative Provision in the East Riding to ensure pupils have access to learning and a supportive and nurturing environment and we are looking for dedicated people with the following:
* Experience working in an educational setting either in mainstream schools or any other alternative provision.
* A history of working with students with challenging behaviour.
* A confident, caring, and assertive personality
What to expect?
* Working here requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as the student has complex social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed.
* Students often have difficulties displaying emotions in a productive way so the use of Team Teach positive behaviour management strategies may be needed.
* The student will require positive re enforcement from you when they display good behaviours.

What we need from you:
* 2x references.
* A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one (we can assist with this part).
* Team teach Positive behaviour management certificate preferred but not essential.

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
