SEMH Maths Teacher – Secondary School, Croydon
📅 Start Date: November 2025

💼 Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
We’re working with a supportive and well-resourced SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) secondary school in Croydon that is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS required) to join their dedicated team this November.
This role is ideal for a compassionate and resilient teacher who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential through creative, engaging maths lessons.
The Role:

Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons tailored to students with SEMH and additional learning needs
*
Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*
Work closely with the pastoral and SEN teams to support individual learning plans (ILPs) and behaviour strategies
*
Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs and abilities
Requirements:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✅ Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
✅ Previous experience working with SEMH pupils or within an alternative provision / SEN setting
✅ Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach
✅ Up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and Safeguarding training
