SEN Teacher - Primary (SEMH Focus) | Stretford, Trafford 🌟
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Are you a passionate and committed SEN Teacher with a focus on SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs?
We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher to join our inclusive and welcoming primary school in Stretford, Trafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire children with SEMH and other additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
🏫 About the Role:
Lead tailored learning for pupils with SEMH and additional needs across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (dependent on experience)
Develop personalised support strategies and behaviour plans
Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support
Create a safe, calm, and structured classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and understood
Be an integral part of our SEN team, driving forward our whole-school approach to inclusion
✅ What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong understanding and experience of supporting children with SEMH needs
Knowledge of strategies to manage emotional regulation, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour for learning
Empathy, patience, and resilience in challenging situations
A collaborative mindset and a passion for making a difference
