Academics are recruiting on behalf of an Alternative Provision in the Eastleigh area of Hampshire with a proven track record of success. They are looking to appoint an SEMH Teacher, ideally with experience of teaching young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and other associated needs such as Autism who is happy to teach various subjects across the curriculum, mainly focusing on English, Maths and Science to pupils in KS3 and KS4
The suitable SEMH Teacher will be teaching pupils at various learning levels. Due to this, you will be required to follow their individualised learning plans which you will be apart of. You will be supported by a team of specialist teachers, TAs and therapists.
Although this teaching position is suited to someone who has experience of working in a specialist SEN/SEMH school, they are open to qualified teachers from a mainstream background who have a passion for working with children with challenging behaviours and complex needs. They require teachers who are empathetic, engaging and are able to build strong, positive relationships.
