Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting an SEMH primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield in their search for a passionate and engaging SEMH Teacher.
Using an array of educational, therapeutic and play practices, the school supports learners with a multitude of social, emotional and mental health needs.
Due to the high needs of the learners, the successful applicant must be resilient in nature with a warm, empathetic outlook to be able to build trusting, respectful relationships.

The role is due to commence in the new academic year, September 2025, and is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm on a temporary basis.
What we're looking for:
* Have SEND experience, specifically supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs including challenging behaviour
* Be patient, calm and kind order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Be flexible, adaptable to change and able to work on own initiative
Applicants must have:
* A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS and experience teaching in UK schools
* The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress
* A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Two references including most recent employer
* Right to work in the UK
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to obtain one
