A specialist secondary school in Manchester is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in classes with students who may need extra support with work and behaviour. The students within the school are ages 11-19 and have a variety of different social, emotional and mental health.
They are currently working towards qualifications and have individualised learning plans to help them work towards their goals.
Role and Responsibilities:
Work alongside teachers in lessons to create a positive learning environment
Help students with specific needs that they may have and work towards helping each student individually
Provide feedback to teachers when needed about progression of students
Promote respect for other students and members of staff through setting an example of that yourself
For this role you should:
Have previous experience working with students with additional needs
Have previous experience working in education
Be able to deal with difficult behaviour in a positive and effective way
Be available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
