SEMH Teaching Assistant - Letchworth Garden City

Pay: £460-£500 per week

Education and Training Sector 

We are recruiting a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Letchworth Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact within the education and training sector, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key Points About the SEMH Teaching Assistant Role:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH needs
Help students regulate emotions, build confidence, and develop positive behaviours
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver targeted interventions
Assist in creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
Use de-escalation strategies and promote student wellbeing
Contribute to personalised learning plans and progress tracking

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
Eligibility to work in the UK
Ability to commute to Letchworth Garden City
Strong interest in supporting learners with SEN
