SEMH Teaching Assistant Specialist School - Salford Full-Time | Immediate Start | £500-£550 per week Are you interested in working with young people who need additional emotional and behavioural support? Have you graduated in Psychology or similar, or do you have a background in Support Work, Care or Therapy that equips you with relevant skills and experience? As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be a key member of the schools support team and contribute to removing barriers to learning for children with a number of additional needs. The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant You will support pupils with SEMH needs through targeted interventions, behaviour support strategies, and structured learning activities. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help pupils build confidence and re-engage with education. Many of the children you interact with will have complex additional needs such as ADHD, ASD, Trauma, and challenging behaviour. The role includes 1:1 support, small group work, and assisting with personalised learning plans.
