Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: SEMH School, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £90 - £105 per day (depending on experience)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH school in Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEMH and additional SEN needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.
Work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored learning strategies and behaviour support plans.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting emotional regulation.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with SEMH and/or SEN students (in schools, youth work, or care settings).
DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply for one.
Two professional references from the last two years.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a calm approach to challenging behaviour.
