Your Responsibilities as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
*
Support classroom routines, structure, and emotional regulation strategies

Implement behaviour plans and pastoral interventions
*
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
*
Play a key role in building positive relationships and resilience in young learners
Ideal Candidate Profile:

A degree (2:2 or above) – psychology, criminology, or education-related subjects are a bonus
*
Passion for mental health, inclusion, and supporting vulnerable young people
*
Previous experience with challenging behaviour or SEN is desirable
*
Excellent communication and empathy skills
*
Committed to a full academic year in a teaching assistant role
*
Willing to apply for (or already have) an Enhanced DBS
