Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term-time only)

The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children and young people aged 4 to 16 with SEMH and other ALN needs. You’ll work either 1:1 or with small groups, helping pupils to feel safe, understood, and supported throughout their school day. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values every member’s contribution to the wellbeing and success of its pupils.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting pupils with SEMH and ALN needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning and behaviour support plans
Helping students develop confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience
Creating a calm, consistent learning environment where pupils can thrive
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
Contributing to the creation and review of personalised support strategies
Who We’re Looking For
A caring, adaptable individual with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Experience in SEMH, SEN, care, or behavioural settings is highly desirable
Able to manage challenging behaviour with a calm, constructive approach
A reliable team player with strong communication and relationship-building skills
Access to transport is helpful but not essential
