Job Role: SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant Location: Northamptonshire Start Date: Immediate Salary: £90-£100 per day Contract: Full Time, Temp-to-Perm About the School: A vibrant and inclusive secondary school, dedicated to supporting the individual needs of all students. Here at Aspire People, we are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistants to join a successful and supportive Learning Support team. If you have experience working with secondary-age pupils with SEMH needs and are passionate about making a positive difference in students' lives, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: * Provide tailored support to secondary-age students with SEMH needs within the classroom and on a 1:1 or small group basis * Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students * Support students in managing their emotions, behaviours, and social interactions * Work closely with the teaching staff and SENCO to develop and implement individual learning plans * Monitor and record students' progress, and provide feedback to teachers and parents * Help create a positive, inclusive, and calm learning environment for students * Contribute to the broader life of the school, supporting school activities and initiatives where required The Ideal Candidate: * Experience working with secondary-age pupils with SEMH needs (preferred) * A passion for supporting students with diverse needs and helping them to achieve their full potential * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents * A proactive and patient approach to supporting students * A relevant qualification in supporting students with additional needs (e.g., Level 2/3 TA qualification, or equivalent) * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Understanding of safeguarding policies and a commitment to the wellbeing of students Who are Aspire People?
