SEMH Teaching Assistant - Bracknell
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £90 - £105 Per day
Job Duties:
Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the classroom setting
Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH requirements
Helping students to develop social skills and manage their emotions effectively
Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
Collaborating with other staff members to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs, including English and Maths
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
Education:
A relevant teaching assistant qualification is preferred
Experience:
Experience working in a school or educational setting with students with SEMH needs is essential
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behaviour
Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Training in safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with regular school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
