Position: Teaching Assistant - Full-Time
School Type: Primary - SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs)

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join the team at a welcoming and inclusive SEMH Primary School in Stretford. Our school provides a safe, structured and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential - both emotionally and academically.
🔹 About the Role:
Work closely with teachers to support children with SEMH needs, both in class and 1:1
Help implement tailored learning activities and behaviour support strategies
Provide emotional support and promote positive behaviour and self-esteem
Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Liaise with staff, families and external professionals to ensure holistic support
🔹 About You:
Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (school or care background)
Calm, consistent, and nurturing approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Resilient, flexible, and passionate about making a positive impact
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology, Youth Work) are desirable
