Are you a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive mainstream school in the BD12 area of Bradford.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them engage positively with their education and thrive in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Build trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Assist with the delivery of personalised learning plans and therapeutic interventions
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
