Job Description

SEMH Tutor Location: St Helens Pay: £30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Part-time and Full-time opportunities available, long-term Vision for Education is seeking a committed and qualified SEMH Tutor to support secondary school students in the St Helens area who require additional help to access their education fully. This is a rewarding and flexible role, ideal for educators with a strong background in maths and English, and a passion for making a difference. Tuition will take place in a one-to-one setting, face-to-face or online and the ability to support students to overcome their barriers to learning and forge collaborative relationships is paramount. Tuition may take place in a variety of settings (school, home, library) which requires adaptability and flexibility. Requirements: A teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TESOL, TEFL, BAEd etc.) Experience working with SEND pupils Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style What we offer: As an SEMH Tutor, part of our team, you benefit from:  Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.  Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).  Social and networking events.
