SEMH Tutor – Hayes
Location: Hayes, West London
Rate: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We're looking for a committed and compassionate SEMH Tutor to join our growing network of specialist educators in Hayes.
About the Role
As an SEMH Tutor, you will work 1:1 or in small groups with students who face barriers to learning due to anxiety, EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance), low confidence, or other SEMH-related challenges. You will assess individual learning needs and deliver tailored programmes in English and Maths, designed to re-engage learners and build both skills and self-belief.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a private tutor
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs
Strong understanding of differentiated planning, assessment, and targeted intervention
Ability to develop personalised learning plans in Maths and English
Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to tutoring
Based in or able to travel to Hayes, West London

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
