Job Description
LAB. are partnering with a forward-thinking accountancy practice undergoing strong growth. They are known for their hands-on approach, real client relationships, and a team culture built on support, accountability, and progression. They are now looking to bring in a Semi-Senior Accountant who is confident working with their own portfolio, client-facing, and ready to keep developing professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Team Leader with management of client’s accounts.
* Preparation of accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping and any other duties needed to provide a client service.
* Proactively market and support the growth of the Company.
* Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all clients, internal staff and other parties.
* Actively work as part of the Company team.
* Undertake administration and support duties as necessary.
* Build strong relationships with clients, offering guidance and helping them understand their financial performance.
* Work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to process improvements and best practice.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a UK practice environment.
* Partqualified AAT/ACCA/ACA OR qualified by experience.
* Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax processes.
* Confident using cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.).
* Excellent communication skills — able to explain numbers in a human, relatable way.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable managing client expectations.
