A well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice in South Leicestershire is seeking an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive, close-knit environment while gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio.

The Opportunity

Working primarily from a village in South Leicester, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality accountancy services and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  * Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  * Assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping duties

  * Supporting the preparation of management accounts

  * Assisting on audit assignments

  * Liaising directly with clients and handling queries

  * Supporting senior team members with tax and compliance work

  * Contributing to business development activities, including proposals and new client engagement

About You

  * AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA

  * Previous experience within an accountancy practice

  * Working knowledge of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or CCH

  * Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach

  * Confident communicator who enjoys client interaction
