Job Description
A respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in Ripon is seeking a dedicated Semi-Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in accountancy with full study support and a clear pathway for progression.
The Role:
This full-time, office-based position offers a varied and hands-on workload within the accounts team, including:
Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies
Assisting in the preparation of personal, partnership, and corporation tax returns
Bookkeeping duties and VAT return preparation
Supporting senior team members with more complex assignments
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
The ideal applicant will have:
1 to 2 years of experience within an accountancy practice
Ideally be working towards an AAT qualification (study support provided)
Experience preparing accounts for both incorporated and unincorporated businesses
Some knowledge of tax, with familiarity in SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and preferably IRIS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
