Job Description
We are working with a well-established UK-based manufacturer, renowned for producing high-performance systems and components for a range of sectors including marine, offshore, defence, power generation, and heavy industry. Due to an internal promotion, the company is now seeking a Semi-Skilled Production Operative to join their skilled production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting who takes pride in high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fabricated assemblies for final assembly or painting (marking out, drilling, fettling, polishing, and washing)
Operate powered hand tools (grinders, polishers, drills, etc.)
Use jet washers and steam cleaners to clean large fabricated products
Work accurately and efficiently in line with quality control procedures
Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised work environment
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Skilled in using hand and power tools
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and job sheets
Excellent attention to detail
Forklift or lifting/handling certification is desirable
